You could say Contact Fabrications was built on family values. Started nearly 40 years ago by P.J McLaughlin, his son Matthew is carrying on the legacy – bringing high-quality steel fabrications from the McLaughlin family to yours.
From humble beginnings, the team has grown – without ever losing quality, design integrity and, importantly, our proud Yorkshire sense of humour and grit.
We’re doing the thing properly
We are a UKCA approved Steel Fabrications Company.
The BS EN 1090 UKCA mark ensures compliance with all structural steel fabrication works, including balconies, staircases, canopies, fire escapes, and balustrades.
In other words, you know you’re getting safe, sturdy structures that are built to last.
No matter who’s visiting your home, you want to know everyone will be safe and sound.
Every member of our team goes through top-quality health and safety training to make sure your project and final result will be 100% safe – good and proper.

The fact is, it’s hard to make what we do completely green. We’re just going to be honest about that.
But we’re doing everything we can to make sure we still do our bit. Every little helps, right?
Reclaimed materials: By using reclaimed materials like old railway sleepers, we’re not only giving materials a new lease of life, but your final product is also full of character and history. Win win.
Energy efficiency: We’re always going back to the drawing board, trying to figure out how we can strip our energy consumption right down.
Greener transport: We’re pretty chuffed with our fleet of electric vans. Our deliveries and site visits have never been greener (or quieter!)
